Our Team of Professionals

Annette Becklund is a licensed clinical social worker. She has been in and is in private practice, has worked for Catholic Charities, the Center for Behavioral Health, and Children's Specialized Hospital. Annette's roots are in training and development. Therefore, her philosophy is that learning is an intricate part of the therapeutic process. A full system's, strength's perspective is an intricate part of working with individuals, families, and groups. We offer family focused therapy and services.

The goal of the practice is to provide the environment to facilitate personal growth which ultimately leads to self-awareness and self-advocacy. Pointing to an individual's strengths, rather than deficits, is a much more effective tool which leads to an overall improved quality of life. Society is much more equipped to focus on the negative aspects of most things including individuals who have a unique and different way of being. We provide a supportive environment to unique individuals and to their families and loved ones in order to develop and grow.

All associates work together to provide a very positive, supportive, caring, learning and therapeutic environment to the individual, the family and groups we work with.

When asked, "Why the interest in Autism?" The answer is easy. Where else can you meet souls in such an intimate environment as that which is fostered during therapy who are so honest, intense and naturally sensitive?
